RubberElast® 25 x 19 mm

Product information "RubberElast® 25 x 19 mm"

RubberElast®

RubberElast® is a self-adhesive, tried-and-tested squeeze joint tape for secure and pressure-tight sealing of component joints between prefabricated parts. The self-adhesive RubberElast® sealing tape seals component joints in sewer and civil engineering and in hydraulic structures, among other applications. The joint sealant retains its elasticity even at low temperatures and is resistant to weathering, acids, alkalis and salt. RubberElast® can be applied quickly and without any additional aids. It is self-adhesive and is bonded to one side of a component surface. The prefabricated parts are then mounted and the RubberElast® is compressed in the component joint so that the component joint is filled. The joint is immediately watertight after compression. If precast walls are installed, the use of the BT tension lock is recommended. The combination of RubberElast® with the BT-Spannschloss® is particularly proven in flood protection. The material remains permanently elastic and thus permanently seals the joints. Installation should be carried out within a temperature range of -10 °C to +40 °C. RubberElast® retains its elasticity even at low temperatures. In addition to its very good adhesion to concrete, the squeeze joint tape also has other excellent adhesion properties, such as to metals, glass and other materials. The waterproofing tape is used in hydraulic structures, in sewer and civil engineering, and in residential and commercial construction.

Advantages of the RubberElast® squeeze joint tape

  • Pressure waterproof up to 0,5 bar
  • Processing from -10°C to +40°C
  • No swelling on contact with water
  • Weather, acid, alkali and salt resistant
  • Immediately waterproof after mounting
  • Permanently elastic

Application and possibilities of use

The joint tape is used for secure and pressure-tight sealing of component joints between precast elements.

  • Hydraulic structures (e.g. angle retaining walls in flood protection)
  • Canal- & Civil engineering (e.g. manholes, media channels, amphibian tunnels), multi-story
  • Residential- & commercial construction (e.g. WU basement, white tank)

When using RubberElast® for sealing precast concrete joints on components made of water-impermeable concrete, in accordance with the "WU Guideline", the general test certificate issued by the building authorities must also be observed.

SynkoElast® Primer

SynkoElast® SynkoElast® can be laid both in fresh concrete (in-situ concrete) and on set concrete. For the latter, a primer is then required. During concrete curing, the concrete and SynkoElast® tape bond together so that water penetration is stopped. The joint created between the concreting steps is sealed securely and permanently by the SynkoElast®. The sealing tape is used for sealing structural components made of waterproof in-situ concrete and element walls, for example in basements and underground garages. The construction joint tape does not swell when it comes into contact with water, so it can be laid even in the rain. It is therefore also possible to join narrow components together without having to fear concrete spalling. SynkoElast® is so versatile that it can also be used in changing water levels and provides a permanent seal. SynkoElast® is generally approved by the building authorities up to a water pressure of 2 bar. Advantages of the SynkoElast® joint tape Quick and easy installation Flexible use in fresh and hardened concrete Processing from 0°C to 35°C Up to 20 m water permanently tight (2 bar) General test certificate issued by the building authorities No swelling on contact with water Weather, acid, alkali and salt resistant Technical information SynkoElast® also seals concrete sections and can also be used as a subsequent sealant for construction joints. A SynkoElast® primer for use with hardened concrete is available as an accessory. Black color Consistency elastoplastic Processing form on rolls with protective foil Spec. density Approx. 1,3 g/cm3 Adhesive tensile strength > 18 kPa (on concrete) Max. Working and nominal crack joints in cast-in-place concrete When concreting the floor slab in several sections Element wall joints in combination with predetermined crack profiles and stopend elements Connection to set concrete with cast-in-place Connection from floor slab to wall and for wall and ceiling connections When used for general structural waterproofing and in accordance with the corresponding "WU Guideline", the General Test Certificate issued by the MPA Braunschweig (P-6101/9650 MPA BS) must also be observed.   Technical characteristics and variants of SynkoElast® Art.-Nr. Permanently elastic sealant for facades and roofs according to DIN EN 15651 1. Waterproofing of basements and in civil engineering against pressing water, tested up to 4.80 m For repair and sealing of defects Adhesive for the ProElast® system Article data & delivery form InnoElast® Type II  5004115 - black in 600 ml tubular bag 5004247 - grey in 600 ml tubular bag (on request) 5004258 - grey in 400 ml tubular bag (on request) Surface preparation Substrates must be solid and load-bearing and free from dust, grease, oils and other separating materials. The substrate must be damp, but not wet with a visible film. Suitable substrates are concrete and other mineral building materials as well as, among others, plasterboard, wood, metals, PVC, ceramics, bitumen, etc. In case of doubt, we recommend a preliminary test. Processing InnoElast® is applied directly using a squeeze gun. Priming is not necessary with suitable substrates. For joint sealing, ensure a sufficiently wide (≥5 mm) and sufficiently deep (≥ 10 mm and ≥ ½Width) joint formation. A 3-flank adhesion to the joint base is to be prevented by inserting a suitable joint filling cord or a strip of polyethylene. It is recommended to tape the joint edges with adhesive tape. The sealant must be applied to the joint without voids or bubbles. A good bond with the joint edges must be achieved by pressing and smoothing. Pure liquid soaps (not diluted with water), e.g. washing-up liquid, are suitable as smoothing agents. Remove the adhesive tape immediately after smoothing. The maximum sealant thickness in one work step should not exceed 5 cm. When used as an adhesive, InnoElast® is applied evenly to the bonding surface and spread with a notched trowel in a layer thickness of 1 to 2 mm. Ensure that the bond is free of cavities and bubbles by pressing on the entire surface. Large-surface bonding with InnoElast® requires a moisture-permeable substrate. For impermeable substrates, we recommend the use of FlächenElast® adhesive and sealant with artificial hardener. For tight bonding of the ProElast® sheet, please observe the processing instructions in the "ProElast® System" data sheet. In cases of doubt regarding substrate preparation and processing, we recommend a preliminary test. Aftercare Protect InnoElast® from moisture during the period of stable skin formation. For subsequent painting, we recommend carrying out your own tests due to the wide range of possible painting systems. InnoElast® Type 2 is compatible with paint according to DIN 52452 Part 4.
